So I eagerly awaited my New Rules arrival which had already been delayed for months due to the COVID CRISIS. Great concept. BUT Really POORLY written rules! NO EXAMPLES!

If you read what they WROTE games last eight turns but it takes your Essex Class Carrier 22 Turns to launch all its Aircraft Flights because only one can launch Per Turn.???

If you ASSUME what I think they meant then one Flight can launch each time your side would move a ship during the Movement Phase, but what if there are only 6 or 7 ships on a side? How do you EVER launch all your planes?

Also most planes listed have NO AP values shown, there isn't even a column for it! Which means they can likely never damage battleships?

So what started as excitement quickly turned into disgust as I threw the rules back in the box and walked away.

And I will not even get started about poor QC on the castings!

SO ARE THERE FAQs or Errata somewhere that make these rules playable? Or did many of us just Piss Away hundreds of dollars? Cheers.

You pissed away hundreds of dollars.

It was trash when Mongoose has it and it's trash now.

I had a chance to play the game a twistedlord con in July.
Its a interesting game and not a Simulations. It played fast in both Beginner and advance rules.

Iam getting the rules to uses my own figures.

Warlord released "Really POORLY written rules!"? This is my "not surprised at all" look on my face…

I seem to recall Warlord releasing a dozen pages of errata for their Cruel Seas game ONE DAY after the game was released.
