A few years ago my friends Paul, Scott and I ran Charleston Harbor all weekend at HMGS South Hurricon. I took many pics that weekend, but this one was very easily made to look less like a game and more like a photo. It represents April 7, 1863. Our game turned out quite differently from historical events, but the same OBs were involved. In any case, here is a shot f the game underway made to look a bit more realistic with photo editing.

Bill;
You are still the Martha Stewart of all things terrain.

We miss you, pal.

Nice, but you should do it as a sepia tone print to look like real tintype picture.

I tried it with your image and it looks like it could have been taken in 1863.

You will need to scroll through some other games, but there are photos in these Flickr albums:

Very nice. Looks like the New Ironsides got wracked a bit.

Per your request here are shots from both the convention and the game I ran at my home.

WOW! I asked for a few shots, and I got a bombardment. Thanks! thumbs up

This is the kind of game that makes new miniatures gamers. Nice terrain and toys have a strong draw.

You even made a ruined version of Sumter to swap in!

Given the historical results of the real battle, that seems rather optimistic, but apparently warranted. grin

Great looking terrain. Who makes the buildings?

ACWBill09 Aug 2022 6:25 a.m. PST

They are a combination of Peter Pig and Bay Area Yards. I am not sure BAY is still in business.
