We periodically ask in the polls "What's on your table RIGHT NOW?" How about what "project" did you finish most recently?

A project is any set of figures you intended to paint up as a group and did so.

I just finished up a hodge-podge of Pulp Figures sets … ten (mad-ish) scientists, five flunkies, five Neanderthals, and the new Gypsies (which I why I bought my last batch).

Now if I can just get them on the other table.

Interesting Poll suggestion… grin
I can't wait to see the results.

On my table now are Brigade Games AWI Massachusetts militia, and Massachusetts State line in MPC coats.
Kings Mountain Pennsylvania Associators.
Knuckleduster "not Mongo pawn in game of life", and War of 1812 Frontier militia. Half of those will need work to replace top hats with KMM slouch hats.

Arriving tomorrow (I hope) will be Fife and Drum Morgan's Rifles and Mohawks.

Finished? Surely you jest.

Nice thing about Polls like this is that I can exaggerate and BS.

A bunch of science fiction mercenaries, adventurers, rogues, and spies, at varying stages of being painted, but I'm a little too busy to get to them right now.

A huge piece of terrain that our sons bought me for Father's Day and I am about halfway thru detailing

Two battalions of SYW 28mm Austrian infantry and one battalion of Austrian grenadiers that are just about done and just need basing

Two French SYW 28mm "big brass" who are about halfway done

Two units of 6mm French Napoleonic hussars that are halfway done

I never finish a project. I am always in the middle of one. Do you ever have enough (whatever)?

I recently finished basing a variety of new tree models, around 70 of them.

I also finished repainting two Giganta Heroclix figures, for use as female Storm Giants, for my 2e BattleSystem games, as well as my AD&D RPG games. I repainted a male Storm Giant figure, a pre-paint, from Pathfinder -- had to paint his skin the same shade of purple, to match the Giganta figures.

I based a bunch of plastic Army Men figures I had painted, 20+ years ago. They're ready for the next battle, which should be in two months.

I've completed 17 new hills, which will perfectly match my table covering of Tee Time indoor/outdoor carpet. I used Contact Cement to bond carpet scraps to the tops, and then I cut strips of it, to cement to the sides. I cut up some large pieces of open cell foam, to form the hills. I have another 50-60 hills to finish yet, but I am going to experiment with Hot Glue, to see if it will be faster, and equally effective, as the Contact Cement (has to be brushed onto both surfaces, wait 20 minutes, then press together, and let fully cure for 24 hours…). I currently have enough hills for most games, but I had sooo much extra foam, that I figured I'd make enough hills to cover the entire 5' x 9' tabletop. Hoping that Hot Glue will work better, faster (no heavier-than-air, explosive fumes off-gassing…). Cheers!

Last completed project was a bunch of 15mm Aussies, Gurkhas, and Japanese for WWII. Finished sometime last year.

On my table now – a ridiculous number of Star Trek ships from multiple manufacturers.

I am THIS CLOSE to finishing up a FoG 1,200 point Moorish army. One of the other guys in our group is painting up the Spanish christian army.

Otherwise, I seem to spend most of my painting time filling in existing armies (one can never have too many hoplites.)

jdpintex08 Sep 2020 12:38 p.m. PST

People actually finish things? I'm always "in progress".

Finishing up on an Italian Aeronef fleet and about to start work on the Spanish. Also need to finish/mount some small scale terrain to go with my Aeronef fleets.

Starting work on several 28mm buildings for WWII and moderns.

Need to base some 1/700 IJN ships.

etc.

Finished another 16 hills, last night, using the Hot Glue technique: faster, simpler, likely more durable, with greater longevity. I have 33 hills completed, and another 43, or so, to finish. Cheers!

Corporal Fagen09 Sep 2020 10:38 a.m. PST

I finished enough figures for a 70s-style urban revolution skirmish game using Killer B Geezers, Offensive Miniatures, and Wargames Foundry

Cold war micro tanks are getting repainted and based. Some of them were bought in the '70s from Heroics before they merged with Ros ( it could be the other way round ).
Some of them were named T-70 as no-one knew the tank was actually the T-72, the model was not very accurate being educated guesswork but they look like a cold war Soviet tank to me.
Anyway I'll get them into action soon.
Happy days!.
