I finally managed to finish the AAR on our epic 140th Anniversary refight of the final major battle of the Second Afghan War.

As said by one of the Afghan players, it was "AN EPIC SLUGFEST" – the results arguably hung in the balance until the final -- 9th -- turn. Despite the odd blunder, all 6 Afghan and British commanders acquitted themselves very well indeed, and myself and my 2 fellow GMs all felt lucky to have them as players. I also must reiterate that as organizer of the event I was VERY GRATEFUL to have my son, Skylar, and our buddy Matthew agree to help me run the game. I could not have pulled it off by myself.

The game stretched across 3 different days, and was played entirely via DIGITAL AUDIO & VIDEO using 2 Google "MEET" links, one for each side.

I won't spoil the ending here, so if you're interested in learning more, please click the LINK below to visit my blog, and thanks in advance should you choose to do so:

Though I won't spoill the ending, I will give you a sampling of the 80+ pics on my blog, as seen below…

I really enjoyed being able to participate in this game. Kind of like the Super Bowl of Colonial gamimg for 2020.

MG, much thanks to you for all your efforts for putting this Epic game together! A big thank you to Sky and Mathew for assisting in the GM'ing and being the players respective handlers. Thank you to all the players who helped make this a nail biting slugfest. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenario and the absolutely beautiful visual spectacle of the game.

Thanks for all the kind comments, TMPers!

Jeff (aka: SgtGuinness) my friend, you are so very welcome, and I thank you for being such a constant source of support and encouragement throughout the preparation process and then for sticking with the game when you had other things to do. And of course for contributing the high speed, low drag 2/60th Rifles and 3rd Sikhs:
