English Civil War artillery isn't the most effective battlefield weapon. I began with 2 sakers (medium artillery) when I started my Covenanter army. Pretty useless. I added one more. Marginally useless. I've now added a fourth (& last: 4 is the BG maximum).

I have no great hopes for this battery. It fires slowly & inaccurately (in line with historical precedent). It moves slowly & once unlimbered, does not move again during the battle. …….but it looks good! And for me, that is what my "easy beat" Covenanter army is all about.

Very nice Ochoin. Good to see Scots artillery in the presumed correct colour (carriages protected with pine resin). Didn't fancy any frame guns?

Strange that Scots artillery is a bit pants when you consider the experience gained in Sweden, and the technological advances made by Wemyss.

Oh, I have frame guns as well. They're not much better.
Indeed, the best my poor Covenanters ever fared was in a scenario where they had no artillery. Says something.
