I'm looking for some examples of White Russian banners and flags used in the Siberian "theater." Can anyone recommend an on-line site(s)? My Google-fu has deserted me today.

Thanks,

Jim

An excellent source of information on the uniforms and banners of the white and interventionist armies in Eastern Russia is the Kolchakia website. Alas – only in Russian. I recommend using the Google translator for reading.

Unfortunately, couldn't get Google translator to work.

Here is a link to the information you are interested in:

Not sure if it will work refers to an already translated site, but I'll try:

link

To work with Google translator, just paste the page address into the Russian section, and then use the link that appears in the English section. You will see a website translated into English. Of course, the translation will not be perfect, but you can quite understand the general meaning.
If you have any questions about the text, I can help.

Hi Jim,

picture

Cuprum has already given you the best one source for all things White Siberian in the Russian Civil War. It's well worth getting Google Translate to work if you can as it opens up a lot more good information on the period.

Also check out Curprum's forum at link

There are posts on Siberian Partisans and the White army if memory serves.

I've been building a Siberian White army over lockdown and here is some information on a few specific unit banners on my blog. link

You can follow my supposition and choices from on blog or there is a link to the LAF forum where we've been discussing it too.

Cuprum2,

I finally got Google Translate to work. That is a great link and I can get a number of good ideas from it.

Thanks to both Cuprum2 and Trevsky.

I'll try to post a picture of my effort later.

Jim
