A conversation over at the Lounge sparked this poll suggestion:

Once the pandemic is under control, what will you miss most about the lock down?

For example:

Having the time to read all those e-mail newsletters you signed up for.

Having the time to read all those huge books that you have been meaning to read, like War and Peace or The Sabers of Paradise.

Zoom D&D

Seemingly unlimited painting time

Teleworking! You can't beat the commute, or the dress code.

Oh. I thought you were nominating Miss Lockdown.
That's easy. Gal Gadot.

Lockdown never turned into quite as much free time as I thought it would (short lunch breaks, no commute, not having to bathe or wear clean clothes… I'm joking evil grin)

whitphoto31 Aug 2020 10:58 a.m. PST

the amount of painting i'm getting done!

Perris070731 Aug 2020 11:21 a.m. PST

Wait, you think this is going to end?

Retired two years ago – what lockdown?

I went to work the same as always, I was told I was essential. When this ends, and it actually never should have happened with a lockdown, I will miss the nice casual drives to work. I enjoyed not having everyone trying to get to work.

I was sent home to work, and now they've made it permanent! No traffic, no commute, no office anymore. I live in the country, so I have fantastic views out my windows.

Since I am working from home, permanently, it doesn't matter when the Lockdown ends, as it will not have any effect on my work schedule. I will, however, be able to go out, without a mask, and I look forward to stores returning to normal, sane business hours!

To be honest, there is nothing that I will miss, when it ends, as my situation will change little, because of it. Cheers!

I'll miss nothing about "the lockdown". I'm retired & all it did was close everything & force you to stay home.

Cerdic01 Sep 2020 8:43 a.m. PST

Cycling with no traffic!

King Monkey02 Sep 2020 1:16 a.m. PST

What lockdown? Very little changed for me, I haven't stopped working.

von Schwartz02 Sep 2020 4:47 p.m. PST

Lockdown?!?!?! You mean there was a lockdown?!?!?
