Finally finished painting enough French to let me do this one. It's the big set piece from the Arrow War, or, as some call it the 2nd Opium War.: link |

Could have posted at least one picture here (will have to imagine it all looks great). |

It does look pretty good:
Check out the Mahjong tiles used as play aids, a brilliant idea for a China-themed game in my book:
Trebian, I see your tabletop is marked with a grid pattern, so I assume your rules use area movement. I can only imagine how fast and painless that makes movement and measuring for fire. Do you mind if I ask, what are the move rates for fastest and slowest troop types? Another question: do your rules include a ground scale? |

@FlyXwire: I can't seem to get pictures to work, so I normally rely on Tango01 picking up my posts. Thanks to MadGuru for posting the ones here. @MadGuru: The whole system uses a squared grid. These are 6", but they can be any size as long as 4 of you base widths fit from side to side. Move rates are 1 square in Line, 2 in Open Order and 3 if cavalry. The game plays quickly, thanks to the squares. Small arms ranges are 3 squares, and artillery normally up to 6. Ground scale is 250 yards to a square, and one base is 100 – 150 men. |
