Brilliant Anton. I love ‘imagi-nations' and gaming the what-ifs so this is perfect. I'm trying to work out how I can do AWI (using Sharp Practice for the land and Post Captain for any sea skirmishes) but without getting too caught up in the details. More Revolting People than particular campaigns or forces. I think I'll have to invent and add in a new county and make that my home.

Keep up the good work,
BALM

BALM, I just invented the continent; essentially I closed the Straits of Gibraltar and opened the Red Sea to the Mediterranean (mostly so I could import my Japanese into the scenario) all of the nations are thinly disguised historical countries. The culture has been tweaked so that the nations are fighting over meal planning rather than religion which allows me to inject some levity without stepping on anybody's toes. With a mythical continent you can feel free to add whatever force you have to hand. We ran a short FIW campaign a while back using Pikemans Lament for skirmishes and our own home-brew rules for larger actions you can find them here: link

Thanks Anton. I want to use Sharp Practice in 15mm and want the chaps to represent 1:1 so I'll be effectively playing out what happens to a tiny force (40 odd line and some flavourful add-ons like a group of Hessian Jaeger or a section of dragoons) in comparison to the overall action. Hopefully this means I can just sneak them into the narrative without having to remake America :) . Your map is lovely and your blog was most welcome last night during incessant insomnia.

Thanks and Keep it up,
BALM

Tom D1,

I have been looking for a figure that has the appearance of Rufus T. Firefly in either 15mm or 28mm, as soon as I do he will have a smashing impact on my campaign!
