This 15mm Maurikian army is built around Irregular's stylish Kavallarioi figure. They needed a bit of TLC (replacements spears etc.) but they have always been eye catching. You can see more pictures on Shows North: DBA Maurikian Byzantines or browsing the DBA Armies Page Phil (SoA Shows North)

I love the variety of figures and the imagination in your baggage elements. I wish I could be that creative. Amazing work!

Utterly superb work! A tip for anyone replacing upright lances/speares: run the bottom of the lance/spear right down onto the figure base and glue it there. If you want it to look shorter, then disguise the bottom with a clump of grass. This will greatly strengthen the figure.

@ Durban Gamer … Yes, a good tip (every spear job benefits from a good tip ) … I have done that with some figures (though not these – where it is close to the body and therefore intrinsically strong). As well as the terrain camo, painting the bottom bit black works surprisingly well tick Good to share ideas. Phil SoA Shows North
