The building of the Spanish fleet box of models concludes with the three named frigates, this the Ceres of 40-guns.
The majority of the Spanish frigate force consisted of 34-gun, 12-pdr ships and the Ceres was part of the smaller group of 40-gun, 18-pdr models better suited to face off against the larger types developed by the British and French.
