Yet another face to face game in the glorious summer sunshine: link

Thanks for sharing a great battle report on a topic I'm fond of! I see you went for the summer uniforms for the EVA. Mine in the green winter uniforms.

Isn't giving one side an ever victorious army a bit of a spoiler?

I need this period like I need a hole in my head…..

Okay, when does The Book come out….

I can't NOT have it.

Beautiful game, beautiful figures.

@Dinofbattle2: I chose the summer uniforms as I reasoned they were the ones they did most fighting in, and the drab colours suit my painting style.

@jurgenation: Thanks for the support. I'd be a bit sad if I published and only sold two copies.

@advocate: "Ever Victorious Army" was more of a morale raising aspiration than a statement of fact.

@epturner: If you didn't have a hole in the front of your head, you wouldn't be able to breath.

Trebian, are you publishing something on the Taiping Rebellion? Got a link?

Trebian Sponsoring Member of TMP12 Aug 2020 1:33 p.m. PST

@bobspruster: Yes I am. It;s a rule book called Taiping Era, for Chinese warfare from c 1840-70. The blog has several AARs, and commentary. It'll be for Corps levels actions (none of that skirmish nonsense). More details when I have the rules ready for publication.

Who makes the card buildings? They look nice. The Pagodas look good too

Trebian Sponsoring Member of TMP14 Aug 2020 6:59 a.m. PST

@dragon6: I found them on a pinterest page. They're scans of post cards. I resized them to get two on one sheet of card. The pagodas came from a souvenir stand half way up a hill in China.
