I have created a video which covered the Battle of Hannut , which occurred between the 12 and 14 May 1940. Its designed to provide enough information to create a scenario based on whichever set of rules your prefer. I must admit it does tend to favour sets of rules which allowed players to command a division, there are some options available for squad and platoon scale sets of rules as well. I will probably convert this into a specific scenario for a suitable Battalion scale set of rules, but that is a long term project as I will need to do a reasonable amount of play testing to create a workable scenario. |

What Division level rules do you use? |

If you mean rules where i command a division, LWRS (or the reformatted version bewegungskrieg) is what i most commonly use, followed by Panzer Korps. Both are complete and fully tested and work very well. IN beta land i also use Bob Mackenzies BBWW2B rules and have had a few games. Its a beta set of rules so to setup a game takes some effort. Finally, i `have created a quick play version of korps Commander and have a version which allows you to command a division, called "Divisional Commander", or more accurately Divisions-Kommandeur. Its a bit more complex than LWRS and lacks supporting material – so a lot of effort is required to play a game, unless its set in 1939. My strong advice is to initially try LWRS (or Bewegungskrieg – they are both identical, but Bewegungskrieg has a lot more supporting material). Both are free. If you like the scale you could try Panzer Korps. I have create a video, both on utube and bitchute"link which list all the rules which allow you to command a division. |
