I know a number of gamers, myself included, who are not comfortable gaming in groups. I've adapted by playing solo and over the phone. Haven't tried Zoom yet. Are you playing more solo, or remote, or Zoom Games? Or just not playing? I'd love to hear your stories and ideas. And YES I believe this is a valid TMP Topic given the state of things! Stay Safe! I game solo most of the time normally, so no big change. What has changed, is that my infrequent games with my son in law have gotten more so. |

Solo and my buddies and I Skype every week. We've played several games of For King and Parliament, a square based game that makes remote playing easier. My buddy has a game room and the game can be left up in between gaming sessions. We've also played a board game Nightfighter Ace over Skype and are currently running patrols with another board game called Silent Victory covering US subs in the South Pacific again on Skype. Seems to be working very well so far. |

I'm lucky my 22 year old son is still at home and an avid gamer and painter. We have a small group, 6 members, of front line workers who have worked since the beginning and have met for paint nights and game nights once a week. With the bars closed I have gamed more lately than in the past! |

Solo war game, but hoping to change that after we move into our house and covid goes away (or a vaccine) |

I am spending a lot more time online gaming with Attila Total War. Actually the 1212 Medieval Mod to be exact. It has been a lot of fun. |

RpGs have moved to Roll20 online. Have had a few social distance outdoor games, wearing masks, 2 players. |

Haven't really done any gaming. Was thinking about a few solo scenarios, perhaps. Don't know how to use Zoom, or other systems. |

Not gaming at all. Painting minis that have been around for years & trying to cull the lead pile. |

I've been playing on Skype (and occasionally Zoom) pretty well weekly since lockdown (I had to get a microphone and camera for the PC…), and I went to VCOW wdvirtualcow.blogspot.com where I played in and ran a game. I'd never thought I'd want to use Skype of Zoom before Covid, but they have given me social contact through gaming and have been a really important part of my life. |

Haven't hosted game day at the house since March, so we've played fewer tabletop games. Already played remote tabletop games. Not playing more of those, but we are playing more boardgames remotely now. |

Neither, but I am getting a little more painting done. I think I'm going to explore some solo board games. |

Not playing at all, other than playing Hive with my wife a couple of times in March. I have gotten a bit of painting and scratchbuilding done, and I've organized a lot of found objects (some of them got organized right into the trash). |

Mostly online RPG gaming on Fantasy Grounds. Had one smaller gathering recently of a subset of our group. Too many of our group (or their spouses) have underlying health issues. |

Playing by video on line would be neat to try but my game room has no internet service. |

I've tried solo gaming but I always lose interest during the game. I just have to face it I like the company of others. Luckily my club has just restarted meeting under the current UK restrictions. Fingers crossed the R rate does't go up and we go back to lock down. |

Yes. I'm in a weekly Pathfinder 2 RPG game via Slack, and a weekly D&D5e game on Discord and Roll20. Both work fairly well as far as the video connection goes. Roll20 handles character sheets, die rolls, and battle maps— it's okay; I find it a little clunky. For the PF group we just handle the character sheets and die rolling ourselves, like you would at a table. |

Not playing. Just painting and terrain building. |
Uparmored | 08 Aug 2020 10:52 p.m. PST |
I started a Twilight 2000 campaign (a game I always wanted to play) on Roll 20 before lockdown but it's gotten more interest since. It's gone from random times to regular fortnightly. |

No. Three friends still come over once a week. We're all mostly self-isolated…. Dave |

Used Zoom to play Space Hulk during the lockdown. Then resorted to games on the patio whilst maintaining social distancing and now back to normal. |

Hey @Uparmored, am a long time Twilight 2000 player. Send me an email at jasonDOTweiser@gmailDOTcom. I'd love to get into the campaign if I could? |
Uparmored | 11 Aug 2020 4:32 a.m. PST |
hey M1Fanboy. We play 2.0! and set in a ?Realistic? Vietnam War setting, with Australian SASR as the protagonists. IF you're still interested then the game is called Under the Southern Cross and you can search it. |

Yes – I am playing a weekly Zoom miniatures game (various) with my old Philly club, and often another game or two with other people. I think I am actually gaming more than before COVID, since I also play ADLG with my brother-in-law and his son most weeks, and they are inside my quarantine circle. The biggest change is that we play exclusively with 25mm (big enough to see through the camera) and we play games with less fiddly movement and less dice rolling. Less fun than face-to-face, but still fun to hang out with friends and get a game in. Cheers, A. Gregory |

As it has gotten colder we have started playing games more often than before covid. More people are running games and we started a MegaMek campaign. We only play for a few hours at a time during the week but the games are easy to setup and zero travel makes it convenient. With a discord server and cheap camera's it's almost like normal. |
