V The original, of course. Have not seen the new one yet anyway. The X files was great, but not solely alien invasion. They had other arcs and many contrary episodes. Watching the war of the world's (the Boston dynamics one). Barely. Insert any invading zombies, virus, what have you and it watches the same, loose groups of people skulking around an abandoned city. AVOID. I am stuck watching the human interaction (a reason it to avoid watching soaps also), and suffer the rest. You wait a whole episode of drawn out nothing for basically nothing. |

Wow, there really are aliens here. How could X-Files ever hope to win in this category, since the show WAS so sub-par? Lots of dialog, drama, and time wasted on endless, mind-numbing, foot-draggingly slow, pointless episodes with no results to them, as I seem to recall. I think that went on for more than one season too. Not a fan. Can you tell? |

Regarding X-Files, at the end of nearly every episode I felt like I had just wasted an hour of my life. |

Some obviously completely missed the point with the x files. Not sure what to suggest to resolve it. Try watching with a more open mind? For me, like most shows the one off EPs are the best. Also lets the cast and crew show their other skills not just more of the same like so many shows these days (must be a bore being a modern actor in an endless storyline) It is one of the best shows made, of the genre (not my opinion, or it wouldn't have lasts so long or achieved such a fan base) . The longest running us sci Fi, second only to sg1 if you don't count after 9 seasons. Like most shows it had its issues seven onwards. It was basically the twilight zone/the outer limits with some recurring main characters. You can't ask for better than that! |

I got bummed… I missed the X-Files episode where the preview said they were going to explain everything. |

Unfortunately Lost did have such an episode, groan. |
