Another Spanish third rate is fitted out to join the growing squadron, with the addition of the 80-gun Montanes class ship Neptuno.
The Neptuno was built just prior to the Spanish joining the French in their war with Britain in 1796 and would end her days in that alliance when wrecked on shore close to Cadiz following the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
