Has anyone played these rules? I have read elsewhere they can be grueling. Has anyone tried to play with them using 28mm? I own the book and have read it, but the basing requirements are really specific and that kept me from trying the rules out. |

Played them in 15 and 28mm, pretty straight forwards and give a good game. Most of the 17th century games on the facebook page "Tales from the wargames shed" have all been played using FOG(R) Tally Ho! |

I have played them as well. They do give aa good game at least for 30YW. They are a bit complex, but, I found them much easier to follow than their ancients rules. That said, I am using Baroque for the period myself. |

Thanks all. I am looking at Baroque as well since the Ottoman and Eastern European book for FOG:R seems to be out of print |

They not exactly my "cup of tea" but give a decent game if at least one of the players is knowledgeable about the rules. We have played them for since they came out. Some tweeks would make them much better. |

I helped design the army lists in the Cities of Gold book. It was fun doing some play testing. |
