What was the difference in 1940 between the outfit of the normal german infantry and ss troops?
And if different, Who sells 1940 20mm SS figures?

Long answer short, yes

SS combat troops had different collar patches (SS patches versus Litzen for the Wehrmacht) and eagles on the arm versus on the chest for Wehrmacht

Also in 1940 some SS troops like Totenkopf were early users of camo tunics and helmet covers
