So I've decided on putting together an Austrian army c. 1812ish. The infantry force will consist of 12 bns of 24 figures each (LaSalle rules being used, 20mms figs, some 1/72nd in the mix). No landwher.
What percentage of the infantry force should be Hungarian? Of the 12 bns, how many should be grenadiers? Grenzer?
Any other sage advice would be welcome!
Thanks,
Bob

If you scroll down to the bottom here there's an OB for the Austrian corps in Russia link

By 1813 most of the infantry regiments were in 3 Bn, but not all.

This should give you reference point to build your collection.
Google 1812 Austrian cavalry for the mounted units.

Nafziger would help for OB Liberation War of 1813.

As I recall the ratio of German to Hungarian regiments was in the range of 4-5:1 or so

The ratio of grenadiers was somewhat higher; in 1812 I think it was about 3 line:1 grenadier. The grenadiers did tend to be grouped in separate brigades/divisions and often acted as a reserve or as shock troops

There would be many fewer Grenz as the 17 or so Grenz regiments were two or three battalion units but every regiment left a battalion or two in the Balkans to keep an eye on the wily Turks
