Do the rules intend that when you make a turn you MUST do a 45/30 degree turn or could you do less?
Do the rules intend that during movement you must use all of the movement or could you throttle back a touch on that segments move?
When a ship is down to, say, 25% of its strength but it has no engine hit it can still do full speed? Same with guns. So the only way to affect a ships performance before it sinks is through a critical hit?
Appreciate help and guidance. H

Hi Ferd!

My Boss Lorenzo had a look at these questions for you, here's the answers.

1 – no, you can turn less if you wish
2 – yes, you have to move the length of the segment
3 – yes, critical hits potentially affect the ship's performance while the level of damage that the ship has sustained does not. This said, it has been our experience during playtesting that ships would very likely take a few critical hits before having their strength reduced to zero and we believed the results of these were enough to represent the ships difficulties when damaged, while it would have been too much to apply as consequence of the diminished strength as well.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Max
