I am not sure about you, but I have really been missing the convention scene. Even if they were running, I am not sure if I would go due to fears of COVID-19.

To help try something different the HMGS (Historical Miniature Gaming Society) is running a virtual conference called Cyber Wars.

Now, someone posted about Cyber Wars on here earlier and a lot of people were negative about it because they thought the event was entirely on Facebook. TMP link

It is not. A lot of the event is on other platforms and you can sign up through the registration pages over on the Cyber Wars site.

I personally signed up for three of the round table discussions and felt the event was worth sharing.

The event runs this Thursday to Sunday (July 23 to 26) and is free!!! That's right Free!!! Come check it out.

Except for the fact that the virtual vendor hall is on Facebook which doesn't help those of us who don't have Facebook nor want to join Facebook.

Why Napoleon in a Cyber Wars graphic?

The vendor listing is at this page (just scroll down). link

Unfortunately the adds that vendors created announcing event discounts do not appear to have been transferred to this site. But you do not have to be on facebook to see this now. BTW, BTC is offering 10% off during this event.

Thanks for letting us know BTC. 😁👍🏻

BTC, the vendors don't have their sales on their pages either. Stopped checking after i click ten links.
Where am I missing it?

Don Manser, I have no idea about their design principles on the logo. Maybe someone else could answer that one.

Grimm: Yes all of the adds seem to be on facebook only, so for non-facebook users, you will not see the adds or codes.

I put mine up on my site so everyone can take advantage of the discount.

Doug, I commend you for putting your discount up on your site. Since HMGS decided to list them only on the Facebook page a number of dealers may lose business that they might have gotten if only HMGS wouldn't have only listed it on Facebook.

Yea – I don't understand about the Facebook only logic. I left FB 7 years ago and never looked back.

So, how was it?

Any AARs on the games?

How about the Round Table?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks in advance.
