Are there any good books strictly on the military or uniform aspects of the Boshin War? I have the Osprey but it's just too short. |

Foundry Books had an issue for "Armies of the 19th century – Japan and Korea" by Ian Heath. Some nice sketches in there. |

I'd also recommend Japanese Military Uniforms 1841-1929 by Ritta Nakanishi but, it may be out of print. |
