In our planned 1940 game we will have cavalry, motorcycles and troops on bicycles. How does handle Rapid Fire troops which are dismounted; do I need to use duplicates of the "mounded" troops? |

Your table, your choice. That said, I alway have both mounted and foot. I do not attempt a 1 for 1 ratio on figures. One mounted stand per company seems to work out quite well. |

Whatever the rules, we just try and remember if our cavalry, cyclists or motorcycles are mounted or not. Sometimes simply swapping a generic dismounted stand (like an LMG team) can help as a memory jog. |

Thanks for the answers but if not dismounted how to occupy a house. I is strange to see a mounted cyclist in the attic |

Well, that's up to you. I think most gamers would have dismounted versions of the mounted soldiers. It is more about the look than actual game play. |

Another option I have used for bicycle troops is to include a bicycle for each unit. If the bicycle is on the stand the figures are mounted. Remove the bicycle and the troops are on foot. If you're working in 20mm, you can find bicycles from railroad suppliers. |

Col Durnford's method is what I use. The bicycle is a marker |
