So it's the latest edition?

It is made to order?? UpTo 120 days??

What happened to the over supply format of the last edition?? From one extreme to the other!

It's listed as limited, so a stop gap edition??

Any info, clarification, please.

To partly answer my own question, I may assume, as the boxed sets are thin on the ground, that they pushed this edition forward? Thus are offering pre orders now that they can not immediately fill??

Perhaps I'm just over hyping things?? Or thinking, or both.

Scalpers bought out the entire initial run of the box set within 16 minutes of the Web Store making it available. Within 30 minutes copies were starting to list on ebay for double, triple, quadruple the price. A few hours later GW announced they would manufacture more sets to anyone who now placed an order, at the original price. Trying to cut the ground out from under the scalpers. Probably a good time to buy GW stock.

So what's the limited time all about? What happens when time is up? You can't order it anymore? What then?

They sold out of online pre orders, now offering via their made to order/limited run channel. Appears that they either underestimated demand, or had their online sales channel over selling to resellers, or both.

It was a limited run box set, the rules themselves appear to be readily available and I'm sure the components will also be available separately soon (if not already).

The box set isn't supposed to be a game box… more a collection of stuff at a reduced price (compared to buying the book and miniatures separately).

There are no dice, templates or measuring sticks (for example)…

Effectively, the limited time is purely a 'limited time sale, at a lower price'. Once the time is up, you'll just have to buy stuff separately and suck up the price.
