The shelter-in-place period was pretty awesome for painting and making things, and I continue to occupy the guest room with all of those projects, even if I only get some nights and weekends.

As it will probably be quite some time before people return to their original, pre-Covid, patterns of behaviour – and some may never completely do so – I think it likely there will be a resurgence of interest in hobbies and family boardgames that small groups can pursue and play at home.

I hope other wargame figure and model manufacturers will also reap similar benefits.

It's a good thing online shopping was already a developed practice. It's great for painting and buying, and we will all have larger armies when it's done, but how long will it be before we can get together to use them again?

My wife and daughter are not likely to develop an appreciation for "Empire" any time soon.
