Do Cigar Box have a UK stockist? I was after one of their Europe battle mats. North Star and Caliver Books no longer have them (was there a falling-out I wonder). I emailed Cigar Box last week but didn't get a reply. Not sure whether this means they don't have UK stockist, they are are having problems because of the current health situation, or, are simply too busy to reply. Does anyone have any info? I'm rather reluctant to order directly from the US, as, quite apart from the postal charge, UK customs often slap on tax and then the post office add a 'handling' charge for good measure, which all adds up to quite a bit extra. |

Not any more I'm afraid: they no longer stock them. |

I did try to find a UK stockist but have been unsuccessful. As you say, shipping is expensive, and then there is duty, Post Office charges (grr) & VAT. But I still think they're worth it. I've seen some real tat mats. With CBB the pleasure remains long after the cost has been forgotten. My club got together and put a multiple order in with CBB. We got a volume/club discount, which eased the pain of taxes, and shipping was the same cost for several as it was for a single, but shared between us. You might like to have a look at Red Bubble. They do battle mat designs to print on almost anything, including cloth/bedsheets. About a third of the cost of CBB if the designs suit your needs; as usual a poor Web site which doesn't give enough detail or adequate illustration of the print quality but certainly worth a look link |
