My buddy who is an Australian Army ex scout hated the Austyre. Said that setting the sites was a pain and impractical in combat. He preferred the Minimi but still that gun was a bitch to carry. |

Can fix but never seen any image of Australian Army soldiers actually with Austeyers and fixed baoyets. Think they woulda learned from Long Tan? |

Uparmoured, Given most Aussie missions overseas are training/security/reconstruction/aid with very little combat, there's not much point to having bayonets attached. SAS and Commando units did most of the fighting in Afghanistan and their main rifles were M4s and HK416s. |
