CBS has given us our first solid look at Mike McMahan's comedic take on the Star Trek universe with a first trailer, giving us a peek at the heroes we'll meet aboard the USS Cerritos, a Starfleet vessel exploring the universe circa 2380…"

Yep – not a good sign when you just barely crack a smile at something and then…poof! They hit you with really crap joke or gag that just falls flat. And that is just the trailer. And trailers are usually supposed to contain enough of the "good stuff" to hook you…so..? |

Only reviews I've heard have been cut and pastes of the early reviews of "The Orville", which tells me more about the reviewers than the show.
I can't even access the platform here, so I may be one of the few Trek fans with a sense of self-deprecating humor who won't be watching . . . Wait, I could have ended that sentence before the word "who". Ah well. |
