Very impressive with the traces. Not sure I ever saw those done in wargaming before.

AB Heavy Caisson, did trade rear wheels as thought it rode better level. Definitely want another.

My project at least this round comes to a end. Might get 2 more 6 hose limbersfor my position batteries to cover a game and would like a couple troika caissons but that could be it.
The gun on one of the 6 horse limbers is what I do to show a full battery lumbered, with limber model should cover ground scale.

Last of what I think I need limbers.
6 x 6 horse for position batteries
9 x 4 horse for light batteries
1 x 2 horse for a half battery
4 x 4 horse for horse artillery
And another troika for light artillery.

Might get more troika caissons for horse and light

Ah ha…as Russell Crowe would have said "I have you now". There are maybe a couple of true Bays (it is hard to tell) but there are far more chestnut horses.

A Chestnut can be any colour of brown, however light, but has no black anywhere, even white face markings and socks, but no black.

A bay has black on the tail, mane and lower legs, plus tips of the ears. He again can be any colour of brown (indeed he can be chestnut coloured, but he is not a chestnut horse, by definition)

It may be bizarre, but that is how it is. Bays look so much better in miniature. You got this wrong me old mate…..

You must be wrong occasionally and eat humble pie. Like here….not often….but here maybe.

btw- its only 8am here (EDit_ ok maybe it was 9.00) so dont expect me to use big words when little ones will do!

I do find pictures of horses I like, then try and paint them, one of Tango's threads Painted breed is lead off horse in center limber.
