I thought this would be fascinating but was troubled to read, early on; "Since all copies of these orders were destroyed prior to the end of the war, they have been reconstructed from personal notes and memory." Ah, that must cast huge doubts on reliability. One big surprise was;
"the order of targets will be battleships and then aircraft carriers." I thought the exact opposite applied. I notice the website address includes the word "myths". |
