Guys, Just about to pull the trigger on the game here at long last. This infantry-heavy encounter is ready for a thorough thrashing (and hoping not trashing). The scenario is inspired by an AAR that detailed the battle of "The Island", which witnessed the US 83rd ID probing south of Carentan, in early July, 1944. Just some eye candy to set the stage -

Thanks Gents! Wargamorium, I'll have this Bolt Action rules mod made available when it's 'final' (it's very close to that stage now). Ok, so the infantry are mostly 1/144th scale Pegasus Hobbies figs, with the Pak 40 crew being a mix of resin and converted SP gun crewmen, the later coming from a World Tank Museum Nashorn. The Shermans are World Tank Museum models, as is the Pak40 behind the gate, and the SdKfz 251 behind the house a repainted Pegasus model. The houses are Battlescale 10mm resin buildings, and the stone walls come from 15mm sets by Landmark, their Low Walls pack. Here's a top view of the 3X4ft. player's map, showing the starting positions for the game (the propaganda pics above had the Americans coming in on the opposite side of their actual, planned sector position). This is a pretty compact board overall, but also pretty dense in terrain and with blocking LOS aspects that'll make for some close range infantry action -

Looks very good – one of the best tables I have seen. |

Looks really great! Thanks for sharing your photos, and the map. I really like everything, but the map is superb too. I've got some of the vehicles, but need to paint up some troops and get gaming. Fielding prepainted armor is so easy, which makes getting started a breeze in this scale. |

TY Wargamorium and Thresher! Tomorrow is game day for the board and the scenario here, so I'll post some pics and comments of how it all went. A peek at the units involved – of HQs, unit & command dice, artillery strike missions available, squads, and support weapons and armor (these trays are how I transport the game troops, and for briefing players on their command structures) -
