With our Star Trek Adventures campaign still in hiatus due to *gestures at the state of the world*, I'm sharing some ideas that didn't hit the table. This one is an adventure idea for a Starfleet or Klingon crew involving a Romulan listening post. The basic scenario is reworked for a variety of eras. Although I came up with the idea for Star Trek Adventures, it should fit into most Star Trek or Trek-like settings. Let me know if you put the idea to use. I'd like to know what another GM does with it!

Lots of interesting options there.

Thanks for sharing your ideas.

You're welcome!

I'll be posting more on an irregular basis.

Trying to figure out how to translate this into a three-player wargame scenario …

Romulans can't just be helpless and trying to negotiate.

The Romulans are only defined as being outgunned, not helpless. Even having just enough firepower to bloody the nose of one of the others is enough. Weakening the Starfleet ship might make it too tempting a target for the Klingons to resist. The Romulans aren't going anywhere, after all.

And remember, the Romulans only have to drag things out until their reinforcements arrive.
