Anyone Want a 1/600th B-58 Hustler Mini in Metal?
I've contacted Pico and expressed my desire for this aircraft to be produced in metal, since they have a very nice looking one already available in resin.
I'm concerned about the survivability of the resin aircraft to perform more than a single sortie on the tabletop, without damage or destruction (though of course that might make it a bit more "realistic" from a wargames scenario standpoint), if you are rich.
John said it would be okay for me to try to drum up support.
Not sure how many he needs a commitment to purchase for, or what the price point will be, but thought I'd inquire here and on other sites to see if there are interested parties.
I'm in for 4 – 6 of them.
The current resin model is $4.25 USD, but other large metal aircraft minis from them are pretty reasonably priced, so I'm hoping they won't run too much.
If you are interested, please post here, tell your friends and fellow air-gaming opponents, and let John of Pico know directly too, since I suspect the latter will be important to making this a reality.
