I've been to Great Britain 5 times and have many good friends there. Wonderful country and great people. I'm glad we made up and became true brothers.

One g'parent's (maternal g'father) ancestor was born
there, in Cornwall.

Lived in England for 4 years on the military's bill in late 70s, if anything didn't see enough of the country.

Thank you. Amexit has worked out well for us. But Big Red is right: we owe a great deal to our cousins across the Pond, and I've always enjoyed my visits. I'm not likely to make it to Chawton Cottage or the Battle of Britain Bunker--the two big things I missed--but it's not beyond hope.

And right now, I think you're well out of US politics.

I hate to say there is no more empire- we have a Commonwealth and according to wiki, a commonwealth is a political community founded for the common good. We already have USMCA, so are kind of already together. :)
