More on ongoing project. The first three images show the shattered sections of the hive with the "broken" slumped part in front of the standing remains.

These two show some of the sections, the vertical slump shows part of the hive that has slid down vertically rather then it falling in an arc.

This image shows the interior colors, except for the dry brushing. The deep red is Sedona Red with some Jacobean mixed to darken it. The tunnels have a Red Mohogany stain. I will have to wait for a couple of days to let these dry and then dry brush the two tones

Should I break the sloughed off sections into smaller pieces?

I'm just in awe. Like watching a sculptor at work.

So the stain dried faster than I thought. I've finished dry brushing both the interior and exterior surfaces. These show the colors that with the help of many people on TMP I selected. I am actually fairly happy with these. If I get the chance I will lay the full set of terrain out in my driveway.

What do folks think of the colors? The shapes?

Yes, I game giant alien bugs versus Victorian science fiction troops. They are often led by Teddy Roosevelt!
