Nice one – I've always thought a 'limited' modern game or campaign between Greece and Turkey would be fascinating – it would quick, with both sides trying to make as much capital as possible before the UN and NATO stepped in – probably after a couple of days. The 1987 and 1996 Aegean Crises provide a good framework: link link And air incidents were quite common: link IIRC, both navies in the 80s and 90s had mostly second hand US equipment, so both fleets could be sourced from Navwar. Turkey purchased a very large number of "West German", now German, Fast Attack Craft back in the day, so they have/had lots of missile boats for just such an event with Greece. All of those were quite impressively armed for such small craft, since they were built during the height of the Cold War. |
