I've got a large resin model on my workbench. The underside is marked "HCS-001 Mississippi". Anybody know the maker and scale? The model is slightly more than five inches long. |

since CSS Mississippi was 260' long, the size argues for 1:600 scale. Could it be from Bay Area Yards? |

The Bay Area Yards guy still sells models from time to time on ebay. Mostly just hulls, and those often defective seconds, but it's worth keeping an eye out. Ebay search "acw" and "1/600." His listings dont reference Bayareayards. He posts stuff about every other month. |
