Hello! This is my first post here. I am looking to get into Epic and I'd like to use some good looking alternate Space Marines. The two best I've found are Vanguard's Novan Elite (specifically Affray Squad b) and AA's Bradley grenadiers. The grenadiers don't have many pictures though. Would anyone happen to have any pictures of them? What do you all recommend? Thanks a bunch! Edit: I'm apparently not allowed to respond yet, but I didn't want to think I was ignoring your reply. I just check GZG. It makes it difficult because of the lack of pictures. I was looking at NAC? Which would you suggest? |

For vehicles… Brigade models link The Battletech line available form Ironwind metals link Khurasan
For Space Amrine proxies. I would look at the 6mm Dirstside line from GZG. |

Maybe these images will help: BR008 Grenadier Infantry link NAC Power Armour Pack (DSM-128) link NAC Infantry (DSM-127) link I don't have Affray Squad B, but from the images posted on the site of Vanguard Miniatures I think they are the best proxy. GZG NAC's infantry is great, too. |

I do like all those options and have many of those in my Epic Forces ! E.g. I use 6mm GZG NAC as Hammer's Slammers …

Vanguard stuff is really amazing though, cleanest looking 6mm sculpts I've seen. |

Both are great, but given the choices I'd go with Vanguard if I was only going to use one source. He has been consistently expanding his offerings and has great options for almost anything in the army lists. Bradley has the basic options, but as you get into the game and want to expand you may find your choices limited. |

Thanks for all of the help all. I'll start with Vanguard I think and go from there! |

I don't think you'll regret going with Vanguard: they are lovely models. You may end up wanting some of the Bradley ones anyway; I use them side by side, as I prefer the Bradley bikes and dreadnoughts for my marines. |

I use more than one company for my 6mm Sci-fi … |

So do I, and quite a lot of companies. It's fun, it enriches your painting capabilities, and can turn a wargame battlefield into something more "real". Even if you have the same type of miniature from more companies, say for example a Leman Russ Tank, you can think at it as the same tank being produced by multiple factories or in different patterns. If you think of scale creep, I think you shouldn't, is not really such a big problem in sci-fi. |

I am pretty sure I'll end up buying from multiple companies. I really like the Bradley "dreadnaughts". They just look awesome. Considering I'll probably end up making more than one army so I can convince my friends to try it out, it will make sense to have a diverse range of models! |

I always same there are a lot of great options out there today for 6mm Sci-fi ! I use models from 7-8 different companies … |

When you go to expand don't forget Onslaught minis, the have some great tanks and walkers that mix well with Vanguard and Bradley marines, as well as fantastic proxies for a couple other Epic forces. I always pick a game and make at least two armies, it makes finding an opponent way easier. I'm currently working on Vanguards 3mm Marines, but I'm patiently waiting for Vanguard and Onslaught to fill out their Eloi and Xenomites lines, one of those will be the next project. |

Onslaught makes a lot of nice stuff ! |
