so while they have to take responsibility they are probably busy with the part of their lives that IS their business just now. Well, they just had time to post another attack on TMP. Apparently, mentioning their official contact email is considered "releasing private information" these days. |

I have no dog in this fight, but I find the tactics that TFL is proportedly engaging in to be reprehensible. Its extortion, plain and simple. Think the way we want you to, or else. Say what we want you to, or else. Or else being we'll try to ruin your business. I suspect that a good case could be made for legal action against such people, specifically extortion. I hate the current trend of people using social media to extort businesses or people into conforming to what the extortionist wants. It would be interesting to see what the results would be if someone could track down the origin of said emails/followers/parrots, and publicize that, or use in a court case. NOBODY is untraceable these days, if someone is sufficiently motivated and has the resources to track them down. link |

billcio – as far as I can see it isn't TFL doing this but some of their supporters… so far I havn't seen anyone being encouraged to attack TMP either by undermining them with advertiser or personal insults… I do see some exasperation and annoyance that they're getting the blame for the actions of individuals AND that TMP is directly blaming the company too. My advice to everyone is to lay off each other but some people don't seem to be able to do that and are going after this whole mess like a dog with a bone. |

Apparently, mentioning their official contact email is considered "releasing private information" these days. Thread carefully here Bill, because under the European GDPR rule you are indeed in breach of said rules if the person who's e-mail you mentioned publicly, has previously asked you to remove his personal details. An email address even if it's a business related one, is considered personal details. If that person was to file a complaint with your service provider/hosting company that provider would have no other option than to shut down the site. That's not just valid for the EU and EEA but globally enforced. It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. |

Thread carefully here Bill, because under the European GDPR rule you are indeed in breach of said rules if the person who's e-mail you mentioned publicly, has previously asked you to remove his personal details. First, it's an email address he's been using for years as his public contact point. He asked us to include it in his business's listing on TMP. It has been up there for years.
Second, he hasn't asked us to remove any personal details. |

I present to you the evidence:
Seems abundantly clear that Too Fat Lardies originated and orchestrated the campaign to bully advertisers away from TMP, and allowed their forum to be used for that purpose.
I was also highly critical of what was allowed to be posted on the TFL forum.
I think it's obvious that my workers were targets because of their gender orientation, and were subject to leering comments and innuendo. Some of the comments about Editor Gwen's English were also racist in tone. |
