Other than the out-of-sync and not very emotive English voice overs, The Blackout is immediately arresting with a stark visual style of blazing lights and looming shadows: reds and whites and pale yellows representing a feeble light against the gathering shadows…"

I would also like to watch this in Russian with English subs, but I watched it tonight and liked it. I think it could have had about 1/2 hour edited out, but overall it was fairly intense.

While watching I was thinking how to game it. Maybe use something like Tomorrow's War and give the mobs of "slaves" the lowest firing rating, but no morale level so they never break. They could also have each mob with 1d6 suicide vests and 1d6 RPGs, with all the rest having various small arms. It might be best to play solo with the mobs appearing from randomly placed "hot spots", while the soldiers are controlled by the player. Or possibly have a multi-player game with both sides having aliens. One in control of the mobs, with the second a renegade allied with the army.
