I have always loved his paintings having first come across them in connection with Historex. The 'racier' works are a bit of a revelation!

Very top picture is Russian Cuirassiers, who should be carrying carbines at this date. Which also means the cartridge belt should be over the opposite shoulder, with the carbine belt over the left shoulder.

Am I right about this? It's kind of important because I am building a Russian Cuirassier unit from this era.
