…. And That Kazakhstan Historically Belongs To China

"Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry has officially protested an article published on a Chinese website that questioned Kazakhstan's territorial integrity.

The ministry said on April 14 that it "held talks with the Chinese ambassador to Kazakhstan, Zhang Xiao, during which the ministry protested against the publication of an article on the website sohu.com in China titled 'Why Is Kazakhstan Eager To Get Back to China?'"…"

Hmmm, I wonder what the Russian take on this is, as well as their other adjacent neighbors?

I'm sure they want to be part of China as much as Taiwan and Hong Kong want Chinese Communist Party rule too.

Looks like we may be seeing even more border disputes and annexations than in Crimea, and the Himalayan mountains between India and China.

The Filipinos may have their feelings hurt by this too, since there's no mention of them in the article, either, I suspect (don't know, didn't bother to read the propaganda).

So we can expect Chinese soldiers engaging in fisticuffs against Kazakh forces?

I'm personally wondering when the PRC is going to start looking north to Siberia. Lot's of land and resources and very few people.

Wonder what the residents of the area have to say about that?

TGunner I Agree at some point the Chinese will want Siberia. But Russia is still a useful partner for them and the Russian nuclear arsenal far more potent than the Chinese (assuming the Chinese is actually operational – given that "brawl" in the Himalayas I am starting to think China's military is like Iraq in 1990 – only good for parades).
