Hello all, I am looking for a D&D Winter wolf model suitable for 15mm. From reading their description it is the same size as a Dire wolf, which is big. They appear to be about human height. With that would a "normal" 28mm wolf work for this? Such as…
Are there any "really big" 15mm wolf models out there. I have looked in the usual places and just checking to see if any were missed. Thanks |

Winter Wolves have a breath weapon: a small, Cone of Cold blast. I modified my flaming breath weapon I created for Hell Hounds, to work for my Winter Wolves, using the same techniques, only painting it white. I do not have any photo's online, at this time, for the completed Winter Wolves, but here is a link to my blog demonstrating my Hell Hound technique. I hope this helps. Cheers! |

Yes, Splintered Light and Khurasan both carry dire wolves that are quite large in their fantasy ranges, but Khurasan also has one particularly giant, mean looking one tucked away in his modern zombie range in the set "Stay off the Moors". |

If you want larger 15mm wolfs, then you need to look at Battle Valor wolves, as they are on the large size. (as are their Orcs). BV wolves are almost double the size of my Demonworld wolfs. (but not so huge as what a 28mm wolf would be ( BV orcs are closer to 20mm then 15mm) Note: if you want some "nice small wolfs, check out the Pendraken 10mm wolfs. more of what a "normal wolf would be in 15mm. |
