Our dear friend, Brent Senior-Partridge, died in Wellington Regional Hospital this morning. Brent had a stroke the previous week and had been in ICU. I understand his brother, Paul, was with him at the end. You are most welcome to comment here and make your own posts. The is from a Facebook post by Vincent Cholewa Brent introduced me to wargaming, my mother worked with Brents father in the 1970's in Hamilton and he invited me over to meet his son Brent. We used to play at Brents home until the Hamilton Wargaming club was formed and the rest is history, rest easy Brent and thank you |

Brent will be sadly missed. A fixture in New Zealand wargaming for as long as I can remember. Always happy to talk to people, offer advice, guide them on the table top, a genuine nice guy. RIP Brent. |

Condolences to family and friends I worked in New Zealand in the late 1970s and loved it; great place and great people; I bought some NZ made WWII 1:4800 ships that I still use |

That is sad. I first met Brent in 1975 at the very first NZ National Wargames Convention in Wellington. I think that we met two or three times every year after that until 1997. We frequently dined together at those events and on two or three occasions stayed at his home when visiting Wellington. The expansion of 15mm gaming in NZ can largely be attributed to him through his efforts selling Mike's Models. Sadly I hadn't seen Brent since the late 90's, having not attended gaming events here since then, but I have great memories. As Phil says above, he will be missed in the NZ gaming fraternity. RIP Brent. |

I 1st met Brent back in 1973 or 74 and seem to recall his favourite period being ancients. I also bought many Mikes Models off him (which I still have). I haven't seen him for quite a few years either but I know the NZ wargaming fraternity will miss him – a really nice guy. RIP Brent. |
