Does anyone make 28mm early war Pioneers that are actually building something? Like a bridge or a bunker? I know quite often they were used as assault troops but someone had to build those bridges across the Meuse. All I see are guys carrying mines, mine detectors and flame throwers.

Bandai has a set of 1/48 scale "sappers" building a wooden bride. The box includes the bridge. Actually, they have 2 box sets of them. These 1/48 figures are slightly taller than most of our 28mm figures, but not terribly so.
