I have just finished four Zhodani gcarriers and posted pictures to my blog. There are also some pictures of other recent work that I may not have posted here. oberlindessollic.blogspot.com |

Fantastic work "Wow! this is Amazing! Do you know your hidden name meaning ?"
Sorry couldn't help myself. spambots are a blight upon the community Really like your work, especially the soap dishes. I wouldn't have seen the potential in them |

Thanks, Dragon6. I'll go clean up and block the spambots. Again. I'm always looking at shapes when I'm out. I wonder how many designers of plastic items are also miniatures gamers. |

Excellent work, Oberlindes. Nice to see the RAFM Traveller miniatures. Regards, Keith F. |

Nice use of alternative materials. I think the piece you are considering for a sensor array is part of a diffuser from a hand held hair dryer. |

Thanks, Dougkl. I think you're right. This one is similar:
You never know what you'll find at garage sales and the like, for practically nothing. |

Nice looking stuff. Love the G-Carriers, and the Zhodani small craft, as well as your excellent choice for the Zhodani troops. How did you texture the Zho small craft? I really like the look of that, since it adds a lot more interest to the models. |

@Thresher01: I used an old nylon mesh laundry bag and a light dusting of gray spray paint on the small craft. For the snakeskin effect on the gcarriers, I used plastic mesh fruit bags. The textures are purely visual, not 3-dimensional. |

Thanks for the info. They do look rather 3-D-ish to me, and I really like the effect. Thanks for sharing your techniques. |
