What a great salute to the far vision of Gene Roddenberry. Very proud day.

Yep, he was WW2 vet who made x88 missions in B-17s, earning the DFC for his efforts. And Roddenberry was open that the Star Trek emblem was based on the NASA logo and a USAF logo because he wanted something recognizable to American audiences. Moreover, his premise of the Federation is really based on American Constitutionalism.

They have a flag? … for space?!?!

USAFpilot06 Jun 2020 5:07 p.m. PST

Yep. And there's even a flag on the moon.

"Yep. And there's even a flag on the moon".

For some, that's just more "fake news", since there are many nonbelievers. ;-)

The Us Air Force has to be pissed. deprived of half its mission to create another bureaucracy. But who cares?

Nice flag, but how many starships do they have so far?
