I took a little break from inventorying my miniature collections but now back at it. I started with my 28mm Napoleonics (15mm still to do), then my 28mm SAGA armies, followed by my 28mm Mexican-American War, and then my 28mm ancients. Here is my Union ACW army (Confederate to follow).

The majority of figures are from the Magnificent Old Glory 28mm range (my figure of choice for over 30 years now – all scales). There are some Sash & Saber, Dixon, and the very nice Raven Banner Games figures mixed in. I like a very active mix of figures in my units.

The army is displayed on a beautiful Cigar Box Battle Mat – a great cover for every tabletop!

My 28mm Union American Civil War army. These are based for Fire & Fury rules. This is done at 40:1scale based on the Union VI Corps at Gettysburg.

First Division completed, I am now working the Second Division. I have completed the cavalry regiment, the artillery batteries and 18 regiments. Also added brigade and division commands. Included are artillery caissons and supply wagons.

Most figures are Old Glory, with some Dixon and Raven Banner Games added in. The talons on the flags are from Raven Banner Games – very nice touch and highly recommended.

What size stands are you using for the various troop types?

79thPA – the bases are 1" x 1 1/2" with the small triangle addition to the back to add the label. This is done so the unit label is at a 45 degree angle for ease of identification while you stand over the table.
