I don't play 40K anymore but for those interested I am documenting my former Steel Legion force on my blog. Consider it miniature porn I guess. link |

Nice job on the towed quad guns (I'm blanking on the name …). Everything is painted to a beautiful standard. |

Where are the infantry??? When I foolishly dabbled in 40K circa '92 to '94 I collected an Imperial Guard force. The idea was they were a hapless human infantry unit, hopelessly outgunned but able to die with the best of em. They had a couple of Rhinos but were mostly infantry who would go forward and die.. over and over again. My friends thought I was a loser for choosing generic infantry and losing every game. But I thought I was cool for choosing regular infantry and dying gloriously in pitched combat…those friends never lasted, now I have no imperial guard (sold em to a used book store in '96) and I have no friends either in 2020. But I have 20mm 1980s US Marines that are so much better than Imperial Guard ever could be. I think I just got Guard coz everyone I knew was playing 40K but I never really liked it, I always wanted to play real wars… |
