Does any one make 54mm plastic 19th Century European adventurers or explorers? I want to use them for my Sudan Project, where they are trying to rescue a prisoner held by the Dervish. Indiana Jones figures would probably work as well. |

Marx reissue Jungle Jim, Daktari figures. You can find them on Ebay. A mix of Africans and explorers. Sorry, but I don't know how to send you a link from my phone. |

I think Britains may have made some safari figures in the 60s/70s not sure where you would find them – ebay maybe? |

I'd second AIP as options. You could combine figures from different sets to get a pretty solid group of motley "adventurers" (I'm thinking officer figures from the Russian Boxer Rebellion troops, plus from the British naval landing party set, the aforementioned Boers plus some Rough Riders for more civilian-looking chaps, and a pith-helmeted pistol-wielding officer to add in that classic 19th century look. Scott Lesch has some examples on his "I like the things I like" blog: link And Expeditionary Force also has some militia figures you might be able to use with a rifle swap. |
